JAKE Reeves may have caught the eye of Swindon Town manager Mark Cooper, but the midfielder is going to have his work cut out breaking into the first XI.
Having signed from Brentford towards the end of the summer transfer window, Reeves has made two substitute appearances for the Robins – against Bradford City and Oldham Athletic – during which he’s looked calm in possession and fitted in well to the Swindon system.
However, to be part of Cooper’s starting side he will have to separate a midfield triumvirate of Massimo Luongo, Yaser Kasim and Louis Thompson, who have been in scintillating form this season – and his manager has hinted at how hard that selection decision is for him at present.
“He’s done well, in my opinion, the other night when he came on but we have got three midfield players who are playing quite well so we have to weigh that up,” Cooper told Link Sport.
“Do we upset that three or do we freshen it up a little bit? That’s a problem I’ve got to face over the next couple of days. It’s a nice problem.”
