NATHAN Greaves’ mood after the Robins’ 59-36 victory over Wolves shows exactly how much progress the young reserve has made this season.
The teenager scored 3+1 against the men from Monmore Green, which in his early days in a Robins’ race suit would have been something of a triumph.
However, with scores of 6+2 against both Lakeside and Eastbourne last month, Greaves has been scratching his head.
“Four points is better than three, and that would have been good in my first few meetings, but when I’ve scored eight twice in a row and then I get four it’s confusing,” he said.
“I’ve done the same things and approached it all in the same way but just haven’t been scoring the points, getting worse, but I’m always learning and that’s the main thing.”
The Robins go to Leicester on Saturday looking to further stake their claim for a place in the play-offs, but Greaves is confident he and his side will be featuring in the post season.
“I think we will be in the play-offs, given these home wins we’ve been having, but with a few points at Leicester we will definitely be in I think,” he said.
“We won at Leicester without Peter and Troy which was good and hopefully we can do it again.”
