SWINDON Robins captain Troy Batchelor has this afternoon been handed a wildcard for the 2015 GP series.
The Aussie finished ninth in the world in his debut season at Grand Prix level, one place off the top eight which would have secured his automatic return for next season.
However, his displays during 2014 have been enough to convince series organisers BSI to give him another shot.
Batchelor reached two finals this season, both in Denmark, with the highlight of his year undoubtedly his 20-point haul in Copenhagen where he managed six heat wins before dropping his only point of the night in the final, where he lost out to Niels-Kristian Iversen.
Iversen, who saw his season ended in August by a knee injury, has also been handed a wildcard along with Tomas H Jonasson and Michael Jepsen Jensen.
