A group of super fit Swindon netballers have donned erotic underwear supplied by Swindon company Triumph International to show off their well toned curves to raise money for charity.
With the help of photographer Timmy Woo, the fine lines are displayed by players from Lawn Netball Club with part of the proceeds going to Swindon's Prospect Hospice and Breast Cancer Care – both charities close to many club members at Lawn.
Calandar project coordinator Nikki Carvey said the club's sponsors have backed the project. "We have three amazing sponsors: Triumph, Next Generation and Pertemps Recruitment Partnership. All have contributed hugely to the calendar."
Even though Nikki had to beg other players to get their kit off, when they saw the pictures, she said they became enthusiastic. "This has been and still is a very exciting project that I have managed. It's not anything close to the usual sort of projects I have been involved in
"Getting the models has probably been the hardest part, most of them needed alot of persuading – at first. I had a plan in mind but nothing as professional as how it's actually turned out with the help of our photographer Timmy Woo.
"This calendar is very different from the usual novelty calendars you would have seen over the years, it has a flavour for all tastes and shows all of our models at their best."
Nikki said, apart from Timmy, she wanted to thank Alex Leonard (Lawn Netball Regional 1st Team Manager) and Kerrie Easey (Lawn Netball Regional Goal Shooter), who gave up a lot of spare time to help her achieve the goal of producing a tasteful calandar which she hopes will raise a lot of money for Prospect and Breast Cancer Care.
The calandar is now on sale. For details mail: email@example.com
