The organising team of the Mad March Hare are thrilled to announce they have now presented £8,695 to Wiltshire Breakthrough Group, the proceeds from the 2012 event, writes Margaret Nicholson.
This amazing amount was made possible by the participation of over 700 enthusiastic walkers and runners of all ages and abilities and the generosity of supporters and sponsors.
The team would like to thank everyone who took part and our many volunteers including the members of 633 Squadron ATC and the Sea Cadets, Swindon Unit, as well as our supporters and sponsors, Lydiard Academy (formerly Greendown School) for allowing us to hold the event on their premises; Les Slinn Personal Trainer, The Big Adventure Store, Sam Hobbs Pilates, Swindon Borough Council, Evolve Repro, Zumba Swindon, Fit4Less, Eden Water, Challenge Swindon, Lift-n-Shift, Drove Veterinary Hospital, Silbury Chartered Accountants, Warm Space and Berry Davies Ltd.
We would also like to thank Swindon Link magazine and www.swindonlink.com for its continuing support and publicity of our events.
Plans are now underway for the 2013 event when we look forward to welcoming everyone once again to our fun event on the Sunday 24 March. If you are interested in volunteering with us either on the day or in some other way please do get in touch. You can contact us on 07999 566945 or via www.madmarchhare.org.uk
