The North Swindon Development Company (NSDC) has arranged for a contractor to undertake cleaning, inspection and painting works on the pedestrian cycle bridge over Thamesdown Drive during the school summer break, for five weeks starting 29 July.
This is the first redecoration since the the bridge was built eleven years ago.
For safety, the structure will be closed during working hours and overnight when works affect the bridge deck.
Safe alternative routes for foot and cycle traffic across Thamesdown Drive will be signed using existing paths and crossings.
Daytime traffic restrictions will also be in place on Thamesdown Drive to allow access for maintenance vehicles from the highway.
NSDC would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
