From Wiltshire Police: Faisal Qaddus, 26, (DOB: 9 November 1986), of Colbourne Street, Swindon, has been charged with arson with intent / reckless as to whether life was endangered.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 15th July)

Wiltshire Police statement about the incident in which a car collided with the front of Dream Lounge, Swindon shortly after 7am on Saturday 13 July:
‘We can confirm an arrest has been made.
‘A 26 year old local man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. He currently remains in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
‘The investigation is ongoing and officers would still like to hear from anyone who has information.
‘Anyone who has information is asked to contact DS Phil Walker at Swindon CID on 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 where details may be left anonymously if preferred.Shortly after 7am police were called to a report of road traffic collision.’
On Saturday 13 July, a black Honda Prelude carrying a personlised number plate was embedded into the front entrance of the Dream Lounge Gentleman’s Club at the bottom of Victoria Road.
Both the vehicle and the building were ablaze by the time Wiltshire Fire and Rescue arrived and some of the buildings in the area were evacuated as a safety precaution.
No one was injured in the incident and the driver had left the scene.
Traffic was disrupted as roads in the area were closed to enable the fire to be dealt with safely.
