STAR of the show Nick Morris admitted he is arriving at tapes full of confidenceafter his stunning run continued with a paid maximum against Coventry last night.
Fresh from not dropping a point to opponent in his four rides at Leicester on Saturday, Morris went one better in the 60-31 demolition of the Bees as he managed 14+1 from five rides at Blunsdon.
The Somerset rider has been in supreme form in recent weeks, being paid for 132 points in his last 11 meetings, with a mixture of improved equipment and a boost in confidence holding the key.
“It’s all going good really, it’s always easier when you make good starts because you start to feel good,” he said.
“I’m confident in my bikes now and when I get to the start line I know it’s all going to be good.
“Things went great for me and the team and I’m really happy.
“All the boys are going good so we will go to Belle Vue and hope to carry on, we’re all here to win races and that’s what we’re trying to do.”
Morris had to pick himself up off the floor to win heat 15, following a tangle with former captain Hans Andersen which ripped almost every spoke from his front wheel.
“Hans came straight through me, he’s a pretty aggressive rider and he wrecked my front wheel, but we put another one on and it was all good,” Morris said.
