People living in North Swindon have the chance to celebrate together at Isambard School in early July.
All are welcome to enjoy a tasty meal and view displays by pupils from the northern ‘cluster’ of schools. To put everyone in the party mood, there will be music from Red Oaks’ massive 100 child choir and African dance and drumming from pupils at Haydon Wick. Youngsters from Rodbourne Cheney and Moredon will show off their Bhangra dance moves.
There will also be opportunities to try Salsa and Bollywood dancing, led by visiting dance teachers. Children’s artwork on display will range from aboriginal styles to Polish themed work.
“Lots of schools have done lessons and workshops based around multi-cultural themes and we wanted to provide a big showcase and fun event,” said Lisa Parkinson from the organisers, Extended Schools Services.
Admission is free. See poster above for more details.
