My grandson Morgan was born with Goldenhar Syndrome (see below) so in October we held a Men's Sponsored Wax, with all proceeds going to The Goldenhar Family Support Group, Registered Charity No. 1099642.
A big thankyou to Mike at Longs Bar who let us use the room, Vanda Tanner co-owner of OMG, Rachael Hicks and Charlotte Cue, beauty therapists from OMG Hair and Beauty, Faringdon Rd, Swindon who put us through the pain and Swindon 105.5 for their support.

What is Goldenhar Syndrome?
Goldenhar Syndrome is a rare congenital abnormality which children are born with. Abnormalities vary in each child but can affect one side of the body causing missing or misplaced ears with associated hearing loss. Also the face may be smaller on the affected side, with associated breathing and feeding problems.
The Goldenhar Family Support Group as set up in 1989 to give support to families by regular newsletters, arranging family meetings and more. We are a registered charity and the 6 committee members work voluntarily for the group. All funds are spent on supporting family members.
