A team of around 20 employees from Monahans; Chartered Accountants and Independent Financial Advisors, along with a few guests, took part in their annual charity bike ride at the beginning of July in aid of children’s charity NSPCC.
The company has raised over £50,000 for a range of charities over recent years and are hoping their pedal power will raise £4000 towards the 2008 total.
The riders got on their bikes for the 85 mile journey from Glastonbury to Swindon on 3 July 2008. A team of ten riders set out from the Glastonbury office at 7am and picked up other riders along the way from the company’s offices in Bath, Trowbridge, Chippenham and finishing at the Swindon office at 6.08pm – only 8 minutes behind schedule! Their earliest ever finish! A fantastic effort by all!
Ride organiser Rob Brailsford said: “The pace was astonishing and is testament to the months of preparation the riders have put in. The riders are real heroes. It is very hard to ride 85 miles on a bicycle and this lot were brilliant. This is a great way to bring all the offices together and raise money for charity. Congratulations to everyone!”
