Swindon Pathfinders, which organises activities for children and young people with a variety of disabilities, still needs funds for its planned ski trip to Austria in February.
Explaining the trip, coordinator Jean Clifford said: “We have 13 young people all booked to go skiing in Innsbruck.
They have conditions such as cerebral palsey, spina bifida and juvenile arthritis, so they will be using sit-skis on the snow.
“They ‘ve been visiting Gloucester dry slope once a month to get used to the equipment and are really looking forward to the trip.”
Pathfinders was established in 1995 and offers young people between the ages of 12 and 30 opportunities to develop self-esteem, teamwork and a sense of independence through sports.
For the Austria adventure to go ahead the charity still requires another £2,000 to meet the £18,500 total cost.
All the volunteer helpers will be paying their own costs.
