Employees from Motorola’s Swindon facility wore their slippers to work and enjoyed a range of relaxing treatments from foot massages to hypnotherapy as part of the Samaritans Stress Down Day on 1st February.
Motorola invited staff to take a break and enjoy short sessions of treatment from local therapists who donated their services free of charge in aid of Samaritans.
Nicola Wood, a Director at Motorola’s Swindon office said, “the event raised almost ?200 for Samaritans. In 2007 we are hoping to beat the ?5,500 we raised last year and this has got us off to an excellent start.”
Donating their time for Samaritans were:
Rosie Bartlett from Absolute Holistics doing reflexology, foot massages, hand massages, Indian head massages and neck massages.
Audrey Nichol doing sports injury massages, reflexology and aromatherapy massages.
Sujata Bhagi from Enerqi holding 30 minute Reiki/acupuncture consultations.
Gertine Livermore from Homeopathy Gentle Healing holding group homeopathy advice sessions.
Hilary Field gave two group hypnotherapy advice sessions.
