A Swindon networking group is throwing open its doors to new businesses next month so they can see for themselves the benefits of a referral-focused organisation.
BNI Isambard, which meets for breakfast every Friday at the Jurys Hotel, is inviting visitors to come along on Friday June 14, at 6.45am, to see how it can help businesses by exposing them to new markets and connections. Visitors pay only £10 for a buffet breakfast.
Steve Munson, BNI Isambard member, who runs Old Town-based design and print company Studio Print Management Services, said: “BNI allows only one representative from each trade or profession to join any local BNI group. This means members can ensure they receive one hundred percent of all new business in that category. Working together, members achieve incredible results, growing their businesses in ways they perhaps could never accomplish on their own. It’s like having your own unpaid sales and marketing team working for you, because your fellow members give out your cards and refer your business to people they meet. Why do they do this? Because they know you will do the same for them. Even in this digital age, we all know that ‘people buy people’, which is why word-of-mouth marketing is so successful for many different trades and professions.”
BNI Isambard has successfully created referrals for its members to a value of more than £230,000 since its formation in July 2011. Trades and professions currently unrepresented in the group – and so available – include building, marketing, office supplies, public relations, graphic design, and health and safety.
