New College will be opening its doors to potential students for its School Leavers’ Open Evening on Wednesday 4 November, in the leadup to National Colleges Week which this year is running from 9 to 13 November.
The College will be offering potential students and their parents the opportunity to take a closer look at the College and talk to lecturers and current learners about the different courses on offer.
Jo Baish, New College’s Customer Services Manager, said: “National Colleges Week has been created to highlight the difference that colleges make to the lives of individuals, communities, and the world of business, so our School Leavers’ Open Evening, for those who are interested in studying with us from next September, offers the perfect introduction to the national celebration.
“New College consistently achieves outstanding results and we’re the college of choice for many young people around Swindon, Wiltshire and neighbouring counties. We currently offer over 150 different academic and vocational courses, providing each student with a personalised learning plan that will best help them to achieve their goals. We also offer an excellent range of extra curricular courses that students can take in addition to their main subjects; highlights from this year’s ‘eXtras’ courses include Media Make-Up, Cabin Crew (sponsored by leading low-cost airline BMI), Pre-Driving and Webpage Design.”
Potential students attending the Open Evening will also have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a gadget bundle worth £550, which includes a brand new laptop and Nitendo Wii.
The open evening will be held at New College’s Queens Drive campus from 5pm until 8pm on Wednesday 4 November and the College will be running a FREE Park and Ride service from the County Ground in Swindon every 10 minutes.
