Thamesdown Transport has announced the start of new Sunday services on three of its bus routes from this Sunday, October 26. Buses will run between about 0900 and 1800.
Service 1, from Middleleaze to Covingham, will run every 30 minutes, as will Services 13 and 14 between Haydon Wick, Liden and Eldene. Service 17, between Penhill and Park North, will run every 20 minutes.
Commenting on the introduction of the new services, Paul Jenkins, Thamesdown’s Managing Director, said “We are responding to demand from our customers for more Sunday buses. It’s now an important day for shopping and leisure activities, especially for families and the new timetables will help people get around Swindon. To help cut the cost
of family travel on the day our latest ‘Network News’ customer newsletter includes a voucher for £1 off the price of a Family Dayrider ticket on Sundays, valid up to 30 November.”
Full details of the changes are contained in a new Swindon town services timetable booklet, available now from the Thamesdown Travel Shop in Fleming Way. The new timetables are also shown on the company’s website.
