Round Table is the original ‘social network’, giving young men the opportunity to make new friends, try new experiences and help the community since 1927.
Chairman, Matt Booker, 32, said “The new website is the shop-front for Swindon Round Table; it presents our latest events and the aims of the club to potential members.”
“Anyone interested in membership should contact me using the details below; you would then typically be invited along to a social event for a free introduction.”
“We are all men in our 30’s meeting twice a month for activities which range from biking to beer tasting. At my first Round Table evening I found myself standing on top of a 60ft wooden pole with 3 other guys!” (pictured)
“We have a social conscience too and put something back into the community every year.” Four members of Swindon Round Table completed a 40-mile hike around the Cotswold Way in June, raising £1500 for Action Medical Research for Children.
The website also dispels the image of a secret society which might be associated with the Round Table name. “You don’t need to be invited and there are no funny handshakes!” said Mr. Booker.
Round Table is a non-profit and non-religious organisation, with 8000 members in 600 clubs throughout the UK and is open to men aged 18 to 45.
