Following a busy and successful year Tanya Parkinson of Butterflies Children’s Centre in Abbey Meads is looking forward to Autumn activities with a new timetable.
It includes the extremely popular and well-received Parenting group, which runs for 8 weeks and offers a crèche while mum and dad learn tips and strategies to help with managing behaviour.
The Single Parents’ group for families with children aged 0 to 11 years will also return, offering a chance to chat over a cuppa and hear from organisations such as Gingerbread and from benefits advisors.
The Bumps to Babes group will suit mums-to-be throughout their pregnancy until their baby is moving independently, while Play Together group provides support to parents with low esteem, or who find their children’s behaviour challenging.
Commenting on the future direction of Butterflies Tanya said: “We are delighted that 98 per cent of feedback we receive describes our service users as very satisfied with what we provide.
“Our focus following the spending review is ensuring we are accessible to all and offer specific support to those families in greatest need.”
