Following the publication of The Journal Writer’s Handbook, Swindon Link magazine writer Juliet Platt is offering a brand new course of eight weekly journal-writing workshops beginning on 20 February at Lower Shaw Farm.
Explaining her book topic, Juliet said: “I have always kept a journal in some form or other, and have found this kind of writing practice extremely motivating and inspiring. As a personal development coach I saw the potential of reflective writing to help us coach ourselves, so I wrote the handbook to encourage others to give journal writing a try.”
Juliet has delivered two well received introductory journal writing workshops. “Previous participants found the introductory workshops quite eye-opening because, with the right intention and focus, our journals can reveal things to us we never knew were there,” she said.
“Now I’m keen to deepen the experience by spending longer on each of the exercises and techniques and provide more writing time. There is absolutely no obligation to share any of your writing, yet there’s something very special about writing reflectively alongside others – a perfect way to spend a spring evening.”
The 8 week course costs £80 per person and will take place on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. To reserve a space mail: Juliet@treetopscommunications.co.uk
