After dedicating 25 years of his life building up his knowledge and ability in the Japanese martial art of Ninjutsu, 45-year-old Paul Stubbs from Stratton has reached 15th Dan, the highest level possible, and has established the very first dojo exclusively for his sport in Swindon.
Based at BSS House on Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, Bujin Martial Arts offers classes for adults and children during evenings and weekends.
Paul was assessed and awarded a 15th Dan during a visit to Japan last November, enabling him to join an elite group of only 20 practitioners in the UK and approximately 300 across the world.
He said: “I travel to Japan twice a year to train under Dr Masaaki Hatsumi, the sport’s grandmaster.
“Ninjutsu is all-encompassing, providing physical, mental and practical lifestyle benefits.
“What you learn in the dojo you can use in the office, and for children the art helps them develop confidence, respect, focus and discipline.”
