North Swindon Police are praising a sharp-eyed member of the public who spotted two men breaking into a house in Redhouse, Swindon earlier this week.
Thanks to a 999 call from a person who saw two people dressed in black hoodies smashing their way into the back door of a house in Tuscan Drive officers were on the scene within minutes and the offenders were still within the property. One officer was assaulted, and a chase ensued with one male being arrested in neighbouring gardens, and another at a house nearby.
One man has been charged with dwelling burglary, the other with burglary, theft and assaulting a police officer and both have been remanded in custody. The case will be heard at Swindon Crown Court on 23rd November 2012.
