Staff and pupils at Abbey Meads Community Primary School in North Swindon hve just come to the end of their tenth academic year, and celebrated in style with a summer fete and a street party.
Head teacher Bob Buckland, who has just completed his first year at the school following Marilyn Brown’s retirement last summer, said “it’s a joy to come to work and I feel as though I have been here forever.
“The most important thing is the tremendous sense of community here – everybody pulls together as a team and there is a fantastic can-do approach. It is also wonderful to see children staff and parents alike leading by example.”
For the next ten years Bob would like to see the school go from strength to strength, and following its successful OFSTED report recently he has no doubt that Abbey Meads will be the school that all local people want their children to attend.
