On Tuesday 4 June Nova Hreod School played host to a group of 21 visitors from Salzgitter, Swindon’s twin town in Germany.
A group of Year 9 students made presentations in German of what living in Swindon is like.
The visitors were delighted to be addressed in German and were amazed how confident the students were in speaking the language to a group of native speakers.
Afterwards the students gave a tour of the school to show the excellent facilities on offer and chatted happily with the visitors who answered their questions in German.
Faculty leader Rachel Peach said: "The students and visitors enjoyed their morning immensely and we look forward to welcoming more visitors from Salzgitter in the future."
