Olympic hurdler, Lesley-Ann Skeete cut the red ribbon to open Swindon’s FIRST personal training studio, located at Basepoint Business Centre.
Local personal trainer Les Slinn has recognised the demand for one to one or small group fitness training so has set up the fitness studio to give people a more personal and focused exercising environment.
The open day, held on 5th January was a resounding success with nearly 200 people coming to look round and chatting to Les and his team.
As part of the personal training package clients have a fitness test so the exercise programme is developed to meet their needs. Also diet analysis, which contributes to the overall fitness success. Les and his team will can come to your home for the training if it is more convenient.
With the ‘Breakthrough’ breast cancer charity run, Mad March Hare event on 16th March Les has set up an Absolute Beginners Running course which will get you to a point where you will be able to RUN the 5km race.
As this course has already begun Les is now looking to set up further courses for people who want to start running and maybe enter the local Race 4 Life (ladies only) events or Malmesbury and Corsham 5km’s (everyone). These courses will also be the stepping stone to joining the ‘Slinn AllStars’, predominantly a running club but also up for entering other events like ‘Tough Guy’, Tri-athlons, Cycling and many more. The AllStars meet every Tuesday at 7pm.
Another area that Les believes there is a need is ‘pay as you go’ fitness classes. You just book, turn up, pay and off you go! So if you work shifts or can’t commit to regularly attending you’re not paying for something you’re not using. These classes will be held at lunchtimes and early evenings. We are also looking at setting up classes for just after school drop off time. For more information about personal training, running clubs and class timetable please look on Les’s website www.lspersonaltraining.com or call 01793 703156.
