The sun shone brightly upon hundreds of sad mourners who attended the funeral of nine year old Caitlin Hunt at St Mary’s Church Rodbourne Cheney on Tuesday 1 April.
Pink was the theme that family and friends were asked to respond to. A black hearse drawn by two black horses sporting pink plumes brought Caitlin’s bright pink coffin inscribed with her name to the church, not far from the point on Moredon Road where she was tragically killed when hit by a bus on 18 March.
The popular Rodbourne Cheney Primary School pupil’s life was celebrated with poems and tributes, and floods of tears for a life cut short far too early.
A private committal took place at Kingsdown Crematorium following the service.
