NEITHER Nick Morris nor Steve Worrall were able to make an impact as they finished well down the scorechart at this afternoon’s Premier League Riders Championship.
The Robins duo, representing Somerset and Edinburgh respectively, got off to poor starts and never recovered as Simon Stead took the title at Sheffield.
Morris managed six from his five rides while Worrall could muster just three.
Neither Robin got off to a particularly good start, with Worrall third and Morris last in their opening rides, before neither scored in their second as Worrall finished last behind Richard Lawson, Kyle Newman and Ulrich Ostergaard, before Morris retired from heat eight.
Morris got his night going with a win from the gate in heat nine, as Worrall finished at the back before another last in his fourth ride.
Somerset man Morris finished third in his fourth outing, before Robins reserve Nathan Greaves took a ride in heat 17 after Josh Grajczonek left the meeting with an injured arm. The 16-year-old finished at the back at Worrall ended his night with a second place, before Morris also picked up two points in his final outing.
