The problem of young motorbike riders illegally using the River Ray Parkway continues.
But now the police are hunting for two young teenagers caught on camera terrorising pedestrians using the footpath.
On Saturday 5 May between 1.30pm and 2pm, near Shaw Forest Park, close to the reed beds, the riders on an off-road bike made at least three runs on the same section of footpath, riding at between 30mph and 35mph.
Two people on bicycles and four pedestrians were talking about the problem of illegal use of the footpaht by motorcycles when the biker accelerated towards them.
One of the pedestrians stood in the footpath waving his arms to try and stop them, but quickly jumped aside when he realised that the rider had no intention of stopping before riding away. His wife managed to get a photo of the incident.
Shaw councillor Keith Williams appealed for the public to identify the people on the bike. "I was shocked by the irresponsible anti-social behaviour which I have passed on to the police requesting they urgently find out who the bike riders are. Any assistance from the public to rapidly apprehend these people will be welcome. I very much hope the police will be able to confiscate the bike to set an example to all those illegally using the River Ray Parkway with motorbikes."
If you know who the people in the pictures are, call Wiltshire Police by dialling 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
