Grittleton House School near Cirencester is a privately owned non-selective day school, set in 50 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
Although housed in a lovingly restored Victorian manor house, the school and grounds provide all the modern facilities that children require to work and play, including junior and senior IT suites, science labs, HE, art and music rooms, drama studio, a sports dome, swimming pool and numerous pitches for sporting activities.
Children can join from the age of two years in the Grittleton House ‘Flying Start’ Nursery. This caring and purposeful atmosphere continues through to the infant, junior and senior school up to GCSE level. For parents requiring flexibility to the school day there is a breakfast club from 7.45am and an after-school twilight club until 5.45pm. Transport is also available from many areas.
Traditional values of courtesy, consideration for others, good manners and responsibility for oneself are central to the school and provide each child with the potential to succeed to the very best of their ability.
Grittleton House lives by its motto ‘To Strive is to Accomplish’ and this is demonstrated in excellent results at SATs and GCSEs where achievement is consistently well above the national average for non-selective schools. Pupils leave with both an excellent education and well prepared to embrace life’s experiences and challenges.
