Pupils from Janet’s Puppy Skool took part in a dog agility course during the Old Town Rotary Duck Race on May Bank Holiday, raising money for Swindon’s Needy Dogs.
Explaining more about the charity Janet Garrett who runs the Puppy Skool said: “Swindon’s Needy Dogs rescues and rehomes stray dogs, as well as paying for veterinary care and finding foster carers whilst looking for permanent homes. They also feature Dog of the Week on their Facebook page.”
Janet packed up her equipment from the Puppy Skool in Haydon Wick and set up next to River Ray duck race route at Wootton Bassett Rec.
She said: “We’re delighted that we raised £192.50 on the day to go towards this very worthy local cause.
“The agility course also included elements of training against the clock and many of the Puppy Skool adult dogs competed multiple times in a bid to beat the times set by their friends. It certainly helped to boost the funds raised.”
