Purton Open Gardens is a biennial event and takes place this year on Saturday July 14 and Sunday July 15 between 11am and 6pm.
We have about 25 participating gardens. There will be a photo spotter competition, with a prize for the winner indentifying the most photos, which are all views of participating gardens.
Several gardens will be offering refreshments with tea, cakes and cream teas on sale, with the proceeds going to charities of the gardener’s choice. Ploughman’s lunch will be served in the Silver Threads Hall between 12pm and 2.30pm on the Saturday.
Programmes will be for sale at local shops and garden centres and at participating gardens. £5 per adult which covers all gardens over both days, accompanied children under 16 free.
Proceeds from the sale of programmes will be donated to local causes, including some funding for much needed equipment for the Luncheon Club.
Purton is near Swindon (4 miles approx), Royal Wootton Bassett (4 miles), Cricklade (4 miles) and M4, Junction 16 (5 miles).
