Mothers Day Special
Roves Farm Visitor Centre is offering all mums a free day out at the farm when accompanied by a paying child on Mothers Day. Special willow craft sessions are being held for mums, which the children always like to help with. Whilst you relax in the countryside, why not treat Mum to a delicious homemade cream tea in the Granary Tearoom.
Mothers Day will see the grand opening of Roves Farm’s Animal Races! Pippa Burr, Animal Manager, says ‘We have been busy relocating and renovating our animal race track. Now there are small jumps and the animals even have teddy bear jockeys, which will make it much more fun!’ On Mothers Day the goats and sheep will be racing in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, a charity close to the hearts of many mums. Volunteers from the charity will also be at the farm helping to increase awareness and raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
A full programme of events includes: Meet and Feed a wide range of farm animals, Pets Corner, Animal Racing, Free Tractor and Trailer Rides, Children’s Craft and lots more! Roves Farm has plenty of indoor eating and activity areas, most of which are heated on chilly days. It is an ideal venue on wet days – we’ve got it covered!
Hours of play in the Indoor Big Bale Stack with tunnels, Bouncy Castle, Slippery Slide, Ball Pond and Toy Tractors keeps everyone entertained, whilst smaller children will love the indoor heated soft play and sandpit. And for the sunny days, there’s the brilliant outdoor ‘Farmers Den’, 2 Acre Willow Maze with clue sheets and a Short Family Walk, with a quiz, past our Animal Paddocks.
