Swindon & Cricklade Railway Society is pleased to announce the arrival of Father Christmas at Blunsdon Station on Sunday 27 November.
Starting from, and having spent a short time at Asda Walmart in North Swindon, he will make the short trip along Thamesdown Drive then through Redhouse and Oakhurst in a very smart Austrian Landau, pulled by a Haflinger, to the railway.
Timed to depart from Asda around 11am, and to arrive at the railway around noon, the route to be taken is Thamesdown Drive, Oakhurst Way, and Tadpole Lane to Blunsdon station.
At the railway, Father Christmas will then board the Moonraker dining train, where he will be in his travelling grotto, to meet families booked on to the service.
However, during the remainder of the day, normal travellers will be able to visit Father Christmas.
