Swindon Children’s Scrapstore is holding a Charity Craft Fair event on Saturday 3 November 2012 at the Scrapstore in West Swindon, 10am -4pm, we have invited local Crafters to come along to display and sell their hand made products.
We have over 40 stalls booked selling all kinds of products such as: Christmas Hampers, Cupcakes, Flowers, Wedding Stationery, Baby products, Handmade Cards and much more. There will be refreshments available on the day, Face Painting, Henna Tattoos, Children’s Creative Art & Craft Workshops and Demonstrations. We have toilets on site, plenty of parking and disabled access to the Scrapstore ground floor only.
The Scrapstore is a local environmental charity, community resource centre and social enterprise that promotes RE-USE as a means of protecting our environment. We collect businesses’ clean, redundant reusable materials, diverting hundreds of tonnes of clean waste worth thousands of pounds from ending up in the Swindon landfill sites each year. All kinds of treasures can be found at the Scrapstore donated by local businesses and individuals, from household paint, tiles, lino, carpet, paper, picture frames, fabric, foam, to stationery and all manner of art and craft materials.
These materials are made available to the entire community: individuals, students, child-minders, families, church groups, schools, playgroups, nurseries, youth groups, brownies, cubs and many more organisations.
They use Scrapstore as a great resource for supplies for school events, art projects and other creative endeavours. Re-using materials for recreational and educational play: ‘Turning Waste Things! Into Play Things!’
There are a limited number of tables still available at a cost of £8, to book a table please call Olivia McCann, Project Manager or Paula Jackson, Scrapstore Volunteer Event Co-ordinator on: 07557 947227
