IT seems like it’s banger racing at the moment in the world championship.
Loads of the guys have been getting injured and trying to come back quickly but some have been sensible.
I think the likes of Greg and Woffy have been mature enough to say they’re not fit to ride and that’s sensible, he’s been man enough to pull out just like Kasprzak in Finland.
Some riders try to ride on when they’re really not fit enough too and that’s a stupid thing to do.
It’s annoying sometimes when you have a rider turn up and tries to race but pulls out after one race, it’s not right, so hats off to the guys for being brave enough to pull up and say they weren’t fit in the first place.
Greg Hancock has been amazing to be riding at his age but he’s stayed fit and looked after himself.
When you see him riding around the track you wouldn’t think he’s that old, you can see he’s got a few years under his belt when he takes his helmet off, but not when he’s on the bike.
You wouldn’t think he’s old.
It’s all about balance, it’s not just about what you do on the bike but also how you live off it and how you get things right at home.
If you have things going on in your personal lives it effects your racing too because you are away a lot but if it’s all in balance there’s no reason why you can’t carry on to the age Greg is I reckon.
