The Science and Technology Facilities Council are supporting the UK astronomy community in touring an exhibition showcasing the Big Telescopes family – both ground and space based – focussing on the UK science expertise and economic benefits.
The roadshow, entitled “Seeing the Universe in all its Light”, features stunning science images and interactive exhibits bringing the universe to your fingertips.
Young scientists from UK university astronomy departments will be on hand to enthuse you with the work that they do and answer questions on any aspects of astronomy.
The exhibition, currently on show at the House of Commons, will be at Isambard Community School week commencing 4 November. Due to a maximum capacity at the venue, entry will be by ticket only.
There are three evenings available for the public to come along and see the exhibition free of charge – Tuesday 5, Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 November.
There will be two sessions on each evening with up to 60 tickets available for each one.
The first session will take place between 5:30pm and 6:30pm, and the second session will be from 7pm until 8pm.
Tickets will be available to collect on the night itself. To reserve tickets, email your name, the number of tickets you would like and the session you would like to attend to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Mail your request by Friday 1 November. Due to the school holidays, confirmation of your ticket(s) will be emailed to you on the morning of Monday 4 November.
