60,000 miles’ free servicing and £2,000 fuel contribution on selected models of revolutionary Ampera
Local Vauxhall retailer, Skurrays Vauxhall, is delighted to announce the introduction of a brand new ownership package for new customers purchasing the revolutionary Ampera, whereby Vauxhall will cover the majority of running costs.
Available on the Positiv and Electron trims of the ground-breaking extended-range electric vehicle (E-REV), customers at the dealership in Swindon will be entitled to three years or 60,000 miles’ free servicing and a £2,000 fuel contribution, which is enough to cover both electric and petrol costs for three years for an average Ampera driver!
Customers will also receive a Type-2 charging cable, which will enable drivers to charge their Ampera at the vast majority of public charging points. Furthermore, owners will also receive a £335 (VAT inclusive) allowance, equivalent to the 25 per cent funding gap on domestic home charging installations, announced after last month’s Budget.
Steve Hammill, Sales Manager at Skurrays Vauxhall, comments: “We’re delighted to be able to offer our customers the new ownership package from Vauxhall, which means that the only running costs they will need to find in the first three years of ownership is insurance. As such, this affordable package will undoubtedly help smooth the transition for customers who have been considering owning an electric vehicle.”
Available to order at Skurrays Vauxhall on Langley Road now, the innovative car from Vauxhall is equipped with a cutting-edge, 16-kWh lithium-ion battery, which enables the car to travel 25 to 50 miles on battery power alone. The battery can be fully recharged in approximately 6 hours, using a domestic 240-volt/10amp outlet. At all times, the Ampera’s wheels are electrically driven, setting it apart from conventional hybrid vehicles.
The Ampera is offered in three trim levels, with pricing starting at £29,995 on-the-road (including £5,000 Government grant) for the Earth model, which comes with a raft of standard features, such as DAB radio, 7-inch touch-screen control monitor, cruise control and alloy wheels.
Adding a standard leather interior, with heated front seats and rear parking cameras, the Positiv model sits in the middle of the Ampera range at £32,250 (inclusive of the £5,000 government plug-in car grant).
Topping the line-up is the Electron, which costs £33,995 (inclusive of the £5,000 government plug-in car grant) and comes as standard with a state-of-the-art infotainment unit comprising features such as: colour touch screen; satellite navigation system; 30GB hard-disc drive storage and voice-controlled navigation, telephone and music systems.
Skurrays Vauxhall is one of only 24 specialist dealers in the Vauxhall network to stock the Ampera and offers the support of Vauxhall HQ-based customer liaison for every owner.
The retailer will give owners the benefit of two Ampera specialists, in both sales and aftersales, who will provide expert advice and attention on all aspects of the car.
What’s more, customers will also receive a dedicated service known as ‘MyAmpera’, which offers owners the telephone number and email address of their own personal Ampera agent, based at Vauxhall’s head office.
Plus, in addition to the new ownership package, Ampera customers can also drive the award-winning vehicle away with Vauxhall’s industry-first Lifetime Warranty*, alongside the vehicle’s eight year/100,000 mile battery warranty.
