Children’s author and Storysacks creator, Neil Griffiths, will launch a suspenseful spider story and a read about a racing challenge this month at Borders, North Swindon District Centre.
Prizes, competitions and riotous fun are promised at the North Swindon store on Saturday 25 October, 10.30am to noon. “There’s a Spider in the Bath" is a must for spider lovers and a great way to introduce children to how friendly they are,” said Neil. “It’s also perfect for this spooky time of year.”
The story is about Stanley who always has a string of excuses for not having a bath. This time, it isn’t Stanley who is spinning a yarn. Neil will also be reading, "Where Have You Two Been?" which he describes as a racy read about a challenge between a hedgehog and a deer.
Neil’s stories are sold around the world and have been particularly popular in the Middle East and Hong Kong. Some have been translated into French, Welsh and Cantonese.
It is 11 years since Neil left Westlea Primary where he was head teacher. Storysacks Ltd was launched a year later and since then, Neil has worked at a whirlwind pace spreading the word about Storysacks around the world.
