The beautiful Barbury Castle international cross country horse trial course is used by the cream of the world’s equestrians, and now you can run the course, including the water jumps.
But on Sunday 4 August runners but not riders will take to the course to raise money for Rotary charities.
There is a 2.5 mile course for ‘novices’‚ at 11.15am, and a longer 5 mile course for ‘thoroughbreds’ at 12noon.
There is ample free parking, refreshments and panoramic views so that friends and family can watch the runners making their way around the course.
The cost to run is £10 in advance for the 2.5 race (£13 on the day), and £12 in advance for the 5 mile race (£15 on the day). Minimum age of 16 years.
The event is organised by the Rotary Clubs of Marlborough & Swindon Phoenix. Last year’s event raised over £1,570.
