Prospect Hospice is urging people with a love for swimming not to miss the chance to take part in its first ever open water swimming challenge on 10 August.
If you’ve only ever swum in your local pool before and want to try wild swimming this is the event for you.
The Big Swim takes place at the beautiful Bowmoor Sailing Lake near Lechlade and with participants being offered three courses ranging from 500m, 1.3km or a 3.8km route, there is something for everyone. Friends and family are also welcome to come along and support the swimmers at this event.
“The summer is very much the time when more people can take part in outdoor challenges,” says Prospect Hospice events fundraiser Genevieve Arney, “We are hopeful that Swindon’s swimmers will come out in force to take part in Big Swim, the first open water charity challenge that’s been held in this area.”
