Dear SwindonLink viewers
I would like to encourage your readers to take part in ‘Swim22’ – Diabetes UK’s Channel Swim Pool Challenge. From now until 22 November 2011, the charity is challenging participants to swim the 22 miles it takes to cross the English Channel, but in the convenience of their local swimming pools.
This is a fantastic fundraising event which will appeal to all ages and abilities. Swimming is one of the best ways to keep fit and healthy and I encourage your readers to pull on their goggles and dive in. It doesn’t matter if it takes three months, three weeks or even three days to complete the challenge – it really is the taking part that counts.
Diabetes is a serious condition, affecting over 3.5 million people in the UK. Taking part in ‘Swim22’ is a fun and healthy way to help raise vital funds for research and other diabetes-related projects.
To sign up to the challenge, contact the Swim22 Team on 020 7424 1868 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
