During a glitzy awards bash at Centre Parcs on Friday night, Liz Ledger, MD of Total Guide to Swindon was crowned Wiltshire Business Person of the Year 2013.
Her work in recent years has seen her develop a solid reputation as one of the finest business minds in the local area, and her passion, vision and expertise are what make her a valuable asset to the Total Guide to team.

The awards ceremony, organised by Newsquest Wiltshire, aimed to showcase and celebrate some of the most successful businesses from across the county.
Speaking on her award, presented on the night by Sharon Omer-Kaye of Baker Tilly, Liz commented: "The team, our clients and suppliers have been with us all the way right from the very start so I’m delighted all of our hard work has been recognised.”
Liz’s vision of helping local businesses and residents make the most of their town with a modern, interactive and user-friendly content hub has been greatly received and supported by local businesses across Wiltshire and beyond.
Since Liz established Total Guide to Swindon, almost 2 years ago, the company has branched out into Bath, Bristol and Manchester, acquired a PPC and SEO agency to launch Total Digital and invested in cutting edge technology to run bespoke email campaigns tailored to user’s needs.
Liz, pictured below with three members of the Total Swindon team, added: “This recognition is such an incredible honour and the whole company should be very proud. We have won this award thanks to amazing team effort and the passion and camaraderie of our staff, clients and suppliers.
"We’ve all worked incredibly hard to grow the business this quickly and we’ve all made a lot of sacrifices on the way – so this really is the icing on the cake for the team and makes all the hard work worth it."
Fellow award winner, Wiltshire Business of the Year, Managing Director Dom Threlfall of Pebley Beach commented: “It was no surprise that Liz is the Business Person of the year. It should be renamed ‘Business person with most amount of energy and business passion… Award.’ We’re proud be associated with her and Total Guide.”
One of this year’s award sponsors – and last year’s Business Person of the Year winner – James Phipps CEO of Excalibur Communications and IT services for business – said the award was well deserved. “It is great to see a local entrepreneur like Liz win the Business Person of the Year.
"I could not have been happier to have handed over my crown to Liz. She has great drive and passion, and the business is growing rapidly – it’s great to see Wiltshire leading the UK’s digital revolution.”
