Swindon Citizens Advice Bureau is experiencing record number of enquiries across the local area and urgently needs more volunteers to help meet the increasing demand on the service.
If you can:
be a good listener, open minded and non judgemental
work in a team and commit to around 10 hours per week
read and write English and are good at basic maths,
then they have a role for you as:
Receptionists to welcome clients and assist with efficient running of the bureau
Information Assistants to help clients find the information that they need using a comprehensive information system
Gateway Assessors/Advisers to carry out short diagnostic interviews in order to assess what resources a clienta may need to help them deal with their issue. The Adviser role undertakes the ‘full’ advice interview.
Full training will be provided for each role.
To apply for the next training session which takes place in February 2014, the deadline is 12 February and interviews will be held on 17 and 20 February.
