Level 2 Swindon College Business students have been working on a visual merchandising project for the past four weeks, where they have come up with ideas and designs on how to transform a shop window.
Students were given the challenge to put their designs in a real shop window at Oxfam.
The group of eight students were spilt into 3 groups where they each took it in turns with their designs. The first team created a spring design, with watering cans, a wheelbarrow and spring clothes, the second group focused on Ethnic Dress, and then the third followed with men’s clothing.
The students brought their own items as well as using items from the shop to dress the window to their theme.
Gemma, Course Tutor said: “This is a great experience for them, they are gaining excellent skills to put on their CVs. They have prepared really well and done lots of research, one group even phoned the Oxfam shop to get the window measurements.”
