Swindon-based RWE npower has been named one of Britain’s Top Employers in a survey of hundreds of leading organisations.
Based on independent research by the CRF Institute, npower was recognised for its outstanding employee offerings.
RWE npower, whose headquarters in Swindon employs around 12,000 people across the UK, is one of the few organisations to receive the Britain’s Top Employer certification. The company was judged against its pay and benefits packages, career development and training opportunities, and the flexible working environment it offers.
Chris Pilgrim, HR Director for RWE npower, said, “I’m delighted that npower has been recognised as one of Britain’s Top Employers. npower’s vision is to be number one for customer experience, and we can only do that by getting things right for our people.
“We need the very best people to help us meet that challenge, so we try to offer our employees a wide package of benefits and personal and professional development opportunities they need to enjoy a rewarding career and help get things right for our customers.”
Eleanor Nickerson, Manager of UK Operations for the CRF Institute: “The economy has been tough for the UK during the past year, but we’ve consistently seen our certified Top Employers showing that they value their talent by making sure that they have outstanding employee offerings in place.
"We’ve also seen a shift towards more coaching, mentoring and training, as employers seek to ensure that they develop employees and that attractive career opportunities are in place for them. We have seen a wide range of creative initiatives, from secondary benefits and working conditions, to performance-management programmes, that are well-thought-out and truly aligned with the culture of each company.”
