A man from Abbey Meads is taking on an exciting challenge for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Landscape gardener Cliff Boddy, will be running in The Virgin London Marathon on 21 April to recognise the great support and advice he received from the BHF after suffering a heart attack three years ago.
He is urging others to sponsor him.
Let’s beat heart disease together
Cliff said: “I’m really looking forward to taking part. Raising funds for the BHF is especially important to me because they helped me, and my family, through a difficult time. I would like to encourage people to sponsor me and support my fundraising . Let’s beat heart disease together.”
Nancy Prior, Head of Events at the BHF added: “I would like to thank Cliff for taking part in this event. He is doing a wonderful thing by raising funds to help beat heart disease.
"The BHF saves lives every day by funding ground-breaking research, caring for heart patients and supporting their families. By taking part in one of our fantastic events, or by supporting one of our participants; you are helping us in the fight against heart disease.”
