The charity curry nights which have been running twice a week at the Bombay Lounge restaurant in Peatmoor for the last six years are now also available on Mondays and Tuesdays at the Bombay Lounge in Old Town.
As cut backs have bitten into charities and groups, proprietor Hanif Robani wants to make it easier for them to raise money.
He said: “It’s becoming harder for organisers to achieve their aims so I want to offer another charity night to the people of Swindon.”
Hanif donates profits after covering his costs from each charity evening. He started charity nights at his Old Town restaurant last year, a few months after it opened.
“The charity nights on Mondays and Tuesdays are really successful at Peatmoor and we’ve made many friends as a result,” said Hanif. “Group members say they enjoy the evenings because they can get together informally to enjoy good food with friends and supporters.
“If you’ve not yet visited the restaurant in Old Town, it’s building a great reputation in the town for its friendly atmosphere and great cuisine.”
Swindon Link looks after the charity night bookings for both restaurants.
Hanif, proud to have been awarded a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for 2013.
