The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (THE NSPCC) is appealing for people to run the 2014 London Marathon for them.
Anna Keir, the charities local fundraiser, said “Each year thousands of people from across the UK come together to be part of the NSPCC’s London Marathon Running Team raising vital funds for vulnerable children. It would be fantastic to have some runners from Swindon and the wider community representing Wiltshire.”
Anna continued “The ballot closed after 11 hours, anyone who did apply will not know if they have a place until October, but we are able to offer our Golden Bond places now, our places are really popular because people know sooner so can start fundraising and training straight away”
People who run for the NSPCC do so safe in the knowledge that every penny raised will go towards offering support and advice to vulnerable children across the UK, including Swindon and Wiltshire, who need our help.
The NSPCC wants to protect the most vulnerable children in society, as well as being there for every child who needs us through services like ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline.
