Over forty of Swindon’s painters, sculptors, photographers and mixed media specialists will be exhibiting their work at various venues around the town on 7 & 8 and 14 & 15 September, as part of Swindon Open Studios 2013.
Now in its 6th consecutive year, Swindon Open Studios includes displays in public venues and private homes, ranging from St Andrews Ridge in the North, Longcot and Watchfield in the north east and Wroughton in the South, with many artists exhibiting in Old Town and the Town Centre.
Central Library, Wyvern Theatre, Post Modern Art Gallery, Arts Centre, Brunel Centre and The Beehive Pub each has an exhibition space show-casing Swindon’s artistic talent.
Commenting on the diversity of work on show artist and Swindon Open Studios volunteer Bea Menier said: “There are contemporary and traditional approaches being exhibited this year, with new and returning artists taking part. All the artists will be happy to discuss their work with visitors.”
