Sara Tye, award-winning, top 500 international PR and founder of redheadPR, has joined the UTC Marketing Steering Group.
The Group will provide valuable national support to the Baker Dearing Educational Trust, the charity that promotes university technical colleges, including the soon to open UTC Swindon.
Sara brings thirty years’ marketing and PR experience to the UTC Marketing Steering Group. As managing director of redheadPR, she leads a business that manages the reputations of start-ups, corporates, not-for-profits and individuals.
Speaking of her appointment to the UTC Marketing Steering Group, Sara said: “This is a great privilege. redheadPR has worked with UTC Swindon for nearly 12 months, providing marketing and PR support in advance of the college’s opening this September. We can draw on knowledge and experience gained through this work to benefit the wider UTC programme across England.”
The UTC Marketing Steering Group will help develop the priorities of the Baker Dearing Educational Trust, devise strategic and tactical campaigns and conduct market research.

At UTC Swindon, engineering and innovation will flourish. The college will cater for 600 14 to 19 year olds interested in pursuing a career in engineering. For these young people, it will provide an opportunity to gain highly desirable skills and progress toward careers in engineering.
