As the big six energy providers are all raising prices there has never been a better time for consumer power to strike a better deal.
Swindon’s second collective switching scheme officially launches on 10 December. It works by using the combined buying power of residents from the borough and across the country to negotiate cheaper prices with energy companies.
Rather than switching as individuals people register to switch as a large group all at the same time to achieve economies of scale. Pre-register now by mailing: email@example.com. The scheme closes on Monday 17 February,
In its first switching scheme in April over 750 people registered resulting in an average saving of £72 a year on their bills.
